Zenith Bank, UBA Await CBN, Give new dates for H1, 2025 audited results Release.

Two Nigerian top tier banks, Zenith Bank and the United Bank for Africa (UBA) have announced delay in the release of their respective half year (H1) audited result for the period ended June 30, 2025.

Zenith Bank in a statement dated August18, 2025, signed by Michael Osilama Out, company secretary, released by the NGX Exchange assured that the statement will be ready before the newly approved date by the NGX, August29, 2025.

The bank said ‘Zenith Bank Plc, the company, hereby informs the investing public that the company’s half year audited financial statement for the period ended June 30, 2025 was approved by the board of Directors on July 24, 2025, however the approval of our primary regulator is required before the release of the audited financial statement.

Consequently, the company has requested for an extension of time from Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) to publish its half-audited statement and the NGX has approved a six weeks extension beyond the regulatory filing date of August 29, 2025.

We are optimistic that the reports will be submitted to the NGX and the investing public before the approval date by the NGX.

Also, the UBA has said that the delay in the release of its H1 2025 result, rests on the shoulders of its primary regulator, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), assuring that the result will be made available on or before the newly approved date of September30,2025.

The bank in a publication titled “UNITED BANK FOR AFRICA PLC PUBLICATION OF AUDITED HALF-YEAR RESULTS FOR THE PERIOD ENDED JUNE 30, 2025” dated August 20, 2025, signed by Bili A. Odum, Group Company Secretary/Legal Counsel, said that the board has already approved the result.

The statement read “United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc (the Bank) hereby informs its shareholders and the investing public that the Bank’s Half-Year Audited Financial Statements for the period ended June 30, 2025, was approved by the Board of Directors on Thursday, August 14, 2025.

“However, the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is required before the release of the Half-Year Audited Financial Statements.

“The Bank has requested for an ex- tension of the publication of the Half Year Audited Financial Statements from the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and obtained approval to publish the same on or before September 30, 2025.
