Crisis In Cross River APC, Chapter Chairman Calls for Resignation of State Chairman

Tension has brewed up in the Cross River State Chapter of the All-Progressives Congress as the 18 Local Government Area Chapters Chairmen/Chapter Secretaries have openly called for the resignation of the state Chairman of the party, Barrister Alphonsus Ogar Eba.

This follows a press conference in Calabar by the 18 Chapter Chairmen/ Secretaries and accusing the state Chairman of the party for high handedness and gross mismanagement of the party in the state.

The group also alleged amongst other allegations of a complete violations of the party’s Constitution and embezzlement of party’s nominations fund to the tune of #60m and none payment of the workers’ salaries for a period of three months.

The spokesperson of the group of Chapter Chairmen led by Mr. Kelvin Njong who is the Chapter Chairman for Boki Chapter Local Government Area also accused Mr. Eba for withholding the stipends meant for officials of the party, diverted funds as if it is his private estate.
