Sanwo-Olu Inaugurates Grassroot Ambassadors To engage Lagos Citizens on Tinubu’s Renewed Hope
- Donates 20 vehicles for community engagement
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday, inaugurated a grassroots movement that will be propagating the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to residents of Lagos State across all communities.
Sanwo-Olu appointed 20 coordinators for Renewed Hope Ambassadors to drive the grassroots project aimed towards promoting the programmes of the Tinubu administration in communities.
A statement dated February 11, 2026, signed by Ggoyeg Akosile, Special Adviser – Media and Publicity, made available to West Africa BusinessNews, the Governor’s Chief of Staff, Mr. Tayo Ayinde, will lead the activities of the coordinators, each of whom had been assigned to activate the project in their respective Local Government Areas.
The initiative is a grassroots mobilisation effort aimed at enlightening, communicating and spreading the successes of the Renewed Hope agenda of the Tinubu administration.
The project operates under a national framework led by its Director-General and chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, with structures extending from the national level to local communities. The ceremony, held at 10 Degrees Event Centre, Oregun in Ikeja, was attended a broad spectrum of All Progressives Congress (APC) members, including Governance Advisory Council (GAC) leaders, party executive committee, Sanwo-Olu cabinet members, Lagos House of Assembly members, traditional rulers, traders’ unions and youth groups.
Sanwo-Olu said the need to efficiently communicate the successes recorded by the Tinubu administration to all citizens at the grassroots brought about the Renewed Hope Ambassadors initiative.
He said: “This project is an activation of our resolution and commitment to the belief we hold dear. It is an activation of like minds who believe in the message of Renewed Hope of our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Today, we appoint Local Government coordinators for Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Lagos; they have been chosen to populate the achievements of the Tinubu administration.
“The aim of this project is not to kick off any campaign, but to create awareness about the successes we have seen in the last three years.
These ambassadors will go from neighbourhood to neighbourhood to let people be aware of the commitments given by the President and what has been delivered so far. The aim is to ensure the messages are communicated to all citizens in their languages.”
Sanwo-Olu said Tinubu’s leadership had turned around the country, noting that the President’s reforms had yielded positive results across sectors.
