At the just concluded GITEX NIGERIA – TECH EXPO & FUTURE ECONOMY CONFERENCE (September 3 – 4, 2025, Landmark Centre, Lagos), visitors to the TIELLE stand experienced one of the most disruptive innovations redefining the travel and fintech space in Africa.
Founder of TIELLE and Media Director at Social Media Centre Marketing, Solomon Sanusi, was unequivocal that this year’s participation carried a special significance. “On September 4, 2023, exactly two years ago, the idea of TIELLE was born. Today, the project has moved beyond concept, achieved MVP status in the last seven months, and is now in its alpha stage, gearing up for launch.
The global travel app market, he said, is projected to surpass $20 billion by 2028, while the travel industry itself is forecast to reach $15.5 trillion by 2030. TIELLE is strategically positioned to capture this opportunity, targeting pain points like fragmented planning, generic recommendations, and financing gaps.
“TIELLE is not just about travel financing; it’s about giving people the power to pursue their dreams,” Sanusi emphasized. “The best is yet to come.” Stated Sanusi.
Reflecting on the journey, Sanusi shared how a pivotal introduction to Gbolahan Ogunlolu in December 2024 through Niyi Oladeinde reshaped TIELLE’s trajectory. After an initial setback that cost over a year and N1 million with a project manager, Ogunlolu’s decade-long industry expertise having worked with leading travel startups such as Wakanow and other firms accelerated TIELLE’s progress. Ogunlolu has since joined as Co-Founder, bringing hands-on knowledge that fast-tracked the startup’s place in the travel fintech space.
TIELLE is designed to revolutionize the way people plan, fund, and experience travel. The app com- bines cutting-edge AI with a user-friendly design, providing personalized itineraries, real-time updates, exclusive local experiences, and flexible financing tools. Its innovative loan and savings platform empowers users to travel stress-free while maintaining financial security.
