2027 Election: Wike boasts of Presidential victory

  • Says Nigerians still love him

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has expressed strong confidence in his political appeal, saying Nigerians would support him massively if he decides to contest the 2027 presidential election.

Wike made the declaration on Monday during a media chat with selected journalists, where he spoke about his relationship with the public and his political record.

“Nigerians still love me, and if I run for the presidential election, they will vote for me massively,” he said.

The former Rivers State governor noted that his ability to connect with ordinary citizens has remained one of his greatest strengths, adding that his performance in public office continues to speak for him.

According to him, his achievements as governor and his ongoing work as FCT minister have earned him the trust and loyalty of many Nigerians across the country.

Wike also commented on the recently concluded council elections in the Federal Capital Territory, expressing confidence in his political base.

He said that even if the election were to be repeated, his supporters would still emerge victorious.

The minister blamed opposition parties for their poor showing, accusing them of failing to prepare adequately for the exercise.

He further argued that the outcome reflected public approval of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to Wike, the success recorded by the ruling party demonstrates Nigerians’ confidence in the performance of the Tinubu-led Federal Government.

He maintained that good governance and visible results remain the key factors influencing voters’ decisions across the country.
