The 10th Nigeria Energy Forum (NEF2025) Conference and Exhibition will demonstrate energy as a combined tool for sustainability, job creation, industrial growth, and global competitiveness, thereby boosting non-oil foreign exchange revenues and economic growth.
The Chairman of the Forum, Dr Oluwole Adeuyi disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, in Lagos.
According to the chairman, NEF 2025 conference, workshops and exhibition will be held in Lagos on July 8 and virtually on Nov. 20, 2025.
He said the theme of the conference is entitled: “Decade of Energy Transition for Economic Prosperity”.
Adeuyi said that this follows successful engagement of over 4000 global stakeholders, facilitation of a 40m US dollar financing deal for agro-processing, and formal launch of a EUR 30m facility for clean energy projects across previous editions.
He said this showed NEF’s capacity to turn convenings into capital.
Adeuyi said that over 300 participants and 25 key speakers, comprising policymakers, industry leaders, investors, manufacturers, exhibitors and innovators are expected at the conference.
The chairman said that the third edition of the Tertiary Institutions Students Energy Pitch contest, finals, and awards would also be held same day, and that it would be supported by All On, an impact investment firm.
“The Top 10 out 93 tertiary teams comprising over 400 students, shortlisted from 35 tertiary institutions across 25 different states of Nigeria, will pitch and demonstrate innovative energy solutions at the live finals,” he said
The Co-Chairman of the Forum, Mr Adekunle Makinde, said the July 8 conference and exhibition event would be held in Lagos, at Marcellina Conference Centre, Along Radisson Hotel, Ikeja GRA, Lagos while Nov. 20 session would be held as a virtual conference.
“Other 10th year NEF anniversary week-long activities include field visit to solar cold hub in Sagbokoji coastal community, courtesy visit to stakeholders, thanksgiving service and decade of impact awards,” he said.
Makinde said Ms Elsie Attafuah, the UNDP Resident Representative in Nigeria is expected to deliver a keynote presentation on July 8 opening plenary Session.
He also confirmed that other keynote speakers include: Omatsola Ogbe, Executive Secretary, Nigeria Content Development and Monitoring Board; Dr. Marit Kitaw, Economic Affairs Officers, United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA).
“Others are Michael Olugbemi, Chief Executive, Presidential CNG Initiative; Dr. Ogbonnaya Orji, Executive Secretary, Nigeria Extractive Industries and Transparency Initiative, and Nigeria Minister of Power representative,” he said.
Makinde said the event would also feature over four Super-sessions on: Energizing Economic Prosperity Plenary Supported by NCDMB and PCNGi.
“Unveiling Climate Action Shortfilms supported by GEF-SGP UNDP will focus on high-impact video documentaries of community-led climate action projects.
“Transforming Critical Minerals Value Addition supported by UNECA, will build knowledge on critical minerals production, value addition, and global principles and mobilize strategic investments,” he said.
Dr Bamise Olanrewaju, the NEF-2025 Strategy and Innovation Lead, said that over 23 key speakers, panellists and moderators have confirmed participation at the conference.
